1. Amaia from “Atiyama” decides one day to start blogging, how did it happen?
Since always I’ve loved fashion, photography and communication. And one day I thought why not create my own blog? A blog where I can show my looks and that would let me combine my three passions. I got hands down to work and that is how Atiyama started.
2. Tell us something about you
I like waking up with a smile and see the positive side of things. Laugh, seize the moment, take chances, enjoy good company, dream and imagine… I am outgoing, sociable and passionate.
On my spare time I like being with my friends, photography, fashion, travel and see new places.
3. What is the highlight of being a blogger? And the dark side?
The most interesting thing is that in these nine months of Atiyama I have the opportunity to meet a lot of people and go to events that otherwise I wouldn’t have the chance to go. It is also like a getaway space where you can show the things you like, is something created by you and this personally it is very rewarding. It allows me to disconnect and enjoy doing what I love.
And the dark side…it involves a lot of dedication and I have a very busy life and sometimes it is hard to find some space for it, but I always no matter what make time. Obviously, when you create a blog, and even more with your own pictures, you expose yourself to a lot of feedback, especially of people who may not share what you do. Personally, to me that it is not an issue, because I do it with pleasure and because I like it, the rest I don’t really care. But you have to be aware that this will happen.
4. Confess a little shortcoming that you cannot control…
I think I have many faults, but if I have to highlight one it would be that I am too impatient and I want everything “now”. I am one of those who thinks that we have to live the moment and you should not leave for tomorrow what you can do today.
5. Your idea of happiness…
I think that happiness is relative. Each one can have its own idea of happiness. For me, happiness is to feel comfortable with yourself, do not demand more than what you can give and be satisfied with what you do every day. It makes me happy setting new goals for myself and going through that entire path in order to reach that goal. I live excited for many things, no matter how small they may be, and I think that hope and excitement it is linked to happiness. It makes me happy seen and knowing that the people around me are doing well, that is why I try to give the best of me, without expecting anything in return.
6. Do you have an icon?
Specifically, I don’t have a fashion Icon, because there are many things that inspire me, a place a photograph, a person, a song, a movie…many things can influence me, even the weather and my mood.
Even so, I really like Sienna Miller, Brigitte Bardot, Kate Bosworth, Kate Moss, Alexa Chung…
7. What do you always carry in your bag?
Indispensable my phone, red lipstick, wallet and a pair of hairpins.
8. Your last three acquisitions…
My latest acquisitions were sandals with an ankle bracelet, baggy pants and an ideal bag for the beach.
9. An indulgence that you can’t afford…
Actually I don’t really look at the things I can’t afford; I look for low cost fashion. Of course that there are brands that flip me out, but it doesn’t generates me any frustration the fact that I cannot buying them.
10. What trend, that everyone seems to love, do you detest?
I don’t know if people love them or not, but I have seen in many stores that this summer wear shoes and sandals are white… and there is no other thing I can’t stand than white shoes. Although, as I always say, it’s a matter of how and with what you wear it. I do not like white shoes, but I have to say that high heel sandals in white and silver definitely get me! I do like that combination!.
11. An outfit that never fails… for a first date
It depends a lot on where the date is, and who is the guy. I think that the best outfit on a first date is to go natural with colored jeans, shoes and a shirt, complemented with good accessories. But as I say, it all depends on the context. For example, if it is a date night I will bet on a cute dress or a printed jumpsuit and heels, without forgetting, a jacket or a blazer. Always bearing natural makeup.
12. If you had to choose, sexy or elegant?
I don’t think that you should choose one, because you can be elegant and sexy at the same time.
13. A man who you find very attractive…
One man I love is Paul Newman, everything suited him, and he knew what to wear at all times, his style was a 10 and he keeps being an inspiration today.
If I have to choose a modern man, I will say Ryan Gosling. Besides liking as an actor, he is the IT boy of the moment, a trendsetter, always looks perfect and impeccable, is friendly and very attractive.
14. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
5 years? I have no idea! I don’t even know what will become of me in a few months. I like living the moment, hold on to what is arising and make decisions as they come. If you ask me right now… I would love to be doing something related to fashion and communication and be able to travel a lot!

Entrevista a Amaia de Atiyama
1. Amaia de “Atiyama”decide un buen día empezar un blog, ¿Y eso?
Desde siempre me ha gustado la moda, la fotografía y la comunicación. Y un día pensé ¿por qué no creo un blog? Un blog en el que pueda enseñar mis looks y me permita combinar mis tres pasiones. Me puse manos a la obra y así surgió Atiyama.
2. Cuéntanos algo sobre ti
Me gusta levantarme con una sonrisa y sacar el lado positivo a las cosas. Reírme, aprovechar el momento, arriesgarme, disfrutar de buena compañía, soñar, imaginar… Soy extrovertida, alegre y pasional.
Mi tiempo libre lo invierto en estar con mis amigos, la fotografía, la moda, en viajar y en conocer nuevos lugares.
3. ¿Que es lo más interesante de ser blogger? ¿Y el lado oscuro?
Lo más interesante es que en estos 9 meses de vida de Atiyama he podido conocer a un montón de gente e ir a eventos que de otra manera no hubiera ido.
También es un pequeño escápate en el que muestras lo que te gusta, es algo creado por ti y eso a nivel personal siempre es gratificante. A mí me permite desconectar y disfrutar haciendo lo que me gusta.
Y el lado escuro… que conlleva mucha dedicación y con la vida ajetreada que tengo me cuesta mucho encontrar un hueco, aunque siempre saco tiempo.
Lógicamente, cuando creas un blog, y más con tus propias fotos, te exponer a comentarios, gente que puede que no comparta lo que haces. Personalmente, a mí eso no me supone un problema porque lo hago con gusto y porque a mí me gusta, el resto, me da igual. Pero tienes que ser consciente que eso va a suceder.
4. Confiesa un defecto que no puedas dominar
Creo que tengo muchos defectos, pero si tengo que destacar uno es que soy bastante impaciente y lo quiero todo “ahora”. Soy de las personas que piensan que hay que vivir el momento, y no debes dejar para mañana lo que puedes hacer hoy.
5. Tu idea de la felicidad es…
Pienso que la felicidad es relativa. Cada uno puede tener una idea de la felicidad. Para mí la felicidad es el sentirte a gusto contigo mismo, no exigirte más de lo que puedes dar y estar satisfecho con lo que haces cada día. Me genera felicidad plantearme nuevas metas y todo ese camino que recorro hasta alcanzar el objetivo.
Yo vivo ilusionada por muchas cosas, por muy pequeñas que sean, y creo que esa ilusión va ligada a la felicidad. Me genera felicidad ver que los que me rodean están bien, por eso intento dar lo mejor de mí, sin esperar nada a cambio.
6. ¿Tienes algún icono de moda?
No tengo un único icono en la moda, ya que hay muchas cosas que me inspiran, un lugar, una fotografía, una persona, una canción, una película… pueden influirme muchas cosas; el tiempo y mi estado de ánimo.
Aun así, me gustan mucho Sienna Miller, Brigitte Bardot, Kate Bosworth, Kate Moss, Alexa Chung…
7. ¿Qué llevas siempre en el bolso?
Imprescindible mi móvil, barra de labios rojo, cartera y un par de ganchos para el pelo.
8. Tus tres últimas adquisiciones…
Mis últimas adquisiciones han sido unas sandalias con pulsera en el tobillo, unos pantalones baggy estampados y un bolso ideal para la playa.
9. Un capricho que no te puedes permitir…
La verdad que no me suelo fijar mucho en cosas que no me puedo permitir, soy de moda low cost. Claro que hay marcas que me chiflan, pero no me genera ninguna frustración no poder adquirirlos.
10. ¿Qué tendencia, que todos parecen adorar, odias?
No sé si la gente los adora o no, pero en muchas tiendas he visto que este verano se llevan zapatos y sandalias en color blanco… y no hay cosa que más pueda odiar. Aunque como siempre digo es cuestión de combinarlos y verlos puestos. No me gustan los zapatos blancos pero no hago asco a unas sandalias de tacón en color blanco y plata. Esa combinación, ¡sí me gusta!
11. Un look que nunca falla para…una primera cita
Depende mucho de dónde sea la cita, de la situación yquién sea ese chico. Yo creo que lo mejor en una primera cita es ir natural con unos tejanos de color, zapatos y una camisa, acompañado por unos bonitos complementos. Pero como digo, siempre depende del contexto.
Por ejemplo, si es una cita de noche apostaría por un vestido o un mono estampado y unos tacones, sin olvidar, una chaqueta o americana.
El maquillaje siempre muy natural.
12. Si hay que elegir, ¿Sexy o elegante?
Creo que no van reñidos, puedes ir elegante y sexy a la vez.
13. Un hombre que te encante
Un hombre que me encanta es Paul Newman, todo le sentaba bien, y sabía que llevar en cada momento, tenía un estilo 10 y sigue siendo de mucha inspiración hoy en día.
Si tengo que elegir un hombre actual, me quedo con Ryan Gosling. A parte de gustarme mucho como actor, es el it boy del momento, marca tendencia, siempre va perfecto, es simpático y muy atractivo.
14. ¿Dónde te ves dentro de 5 años?
¿5 años? ¡No tengo ni idea! No sé qué será de mí dentro de unos meses como para plantearme mis próximos 5 años. Me gusta vivir el momento, agarrarme a lo que vaya surgiendo y tomar decisiones según vengan. Si me preguntas en este momento… me gustaría estar haciendo algo relacionado con moda y comunicación y poder viajar mucho ¡Por soñar que no sea!
